Documents stored as doc type files contain more information than you see on the screen while you write them. Depending on configuration and features you use, these documents will store different types of hidden information.
Doc Scrubber is a program designed to detect and remove such data, hidden in the form of metadata and other strands in a Word document. This program is designed to prevent disclosure of confidential or inconvenient information.
Doc Scrubber analyzes the Word files, then detects and removes hidden data from your documents. You can do it with a single file or process all files in a folder.
Works with all documents in the classic DOC format, produced with Word in their versions 97 to 2003, and in Word 2007 with the documents saved using the same DOC extension; but is not compatible with Word 2007 DOCX type files.
This application eliminates data such as Hidden Revision Logs, Identifying GUID, properties such as Comments, Keywords, and Subjects, Recent Hyperlinks, Last Saved and Last Edited and Printed Last Date, Revision Count, Total Editing Time, and many more.
In addition, this program gives you options as analyze documents only, clean up all the documents in a folder or only selected files in it.
Finally, you can choose to overwrite the file or save it as new neat version.
